Digital signage media appliances provider IAdea has made available seven new “feature-packed” devices designed for digital signage, the company said.

Three new 10-inch digital signboards incorporate advanced functions for digital signage projects, especially targeting the retail and corporate vertical markets. Three new media players and what the company says is “the world’s first” Open Pluggable Specification-compliant player supporting the Android API are available for use with larger screens.

According to IAdea, the new devices are supported by leading digital signage software options via SMIL, HTML5, and the Google Android API, meeting the needs of professional integrators. The devices will be shown by select IAdea partners at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe and Digital Signage Expo shows in Amsterdam and Las Vegas, respectively.

“These new devices incorporate our years of experience in the digital signage market. Our goal is to provide a wide range of hardware options to meet real project requirements, while maintaining the best interoperability with content management solutions,” IAdea EVP Rex Chen said in the announcement. “We are excited that we are joined by industry leaders like Scala who share our vision and work with us to form a strong ecosystem to address market needs.”
