Scala digital signage brings store into omni-channel environment – Speak
Scala, who had its own booth at NRF for the first time, had a number of different digital signage solutions on display. These solutions aim to create a more engaging customer experience and make the store part of retailers’ omni-channel offering. Using Microsoft Kinect, Scala’s digital signage leveraged gesture control to allow shoppers to find out more about products by moving their hands. It was also showing how Bluetooth Low Energy technologies and other NFC systems allow retailers to find out when a customer is in store and deliver personalised, contextual and timely experiences to those customers. All the information that the retailer collects from these digital signage interactions can then be analysed through the Scala Advanced Analytics solution.
