It was a blast! The return of the ADLYMPICS proved to be a fun competition and a big party that brought the industry together. The evening was a smash hit, leaving those who attended looking forward to returning next year.
Teams included AOR Media, OMD, PHD, Bos and Magi Communications who arrived for the evening courtesy of Beck Taxi, dressed as hockey players, school girls and hippies in their bid to take an early point lead. Once the games got under way the competition started heating-up with Twister, Tug-of-War and touch-screen-memory-challenges … onlookers cheered and heckled enthusiastically.
Sponsorship thanks go out to Amsterdam beer for quenching our athlete's thirsts, The Putting Edge for some intense golfing challenges and Microsoft for a sneak peak at their exciting new interactive gaming system Kinect (not available to the public until November!).
AND THE WINNER IS!
J3 and UM who had banded together to form one team, edged out MacLaren Momentum to take home the CODY Cup in triumph, as well as $100,000 in DOOH to share between them.
As teams were leaving, already sights were set on claiming first place in the upcoming year with remarks ranging from the enthusiastic…
“It was a fantastic event…we were able to meet new people in the DOOH industry in a relaxed, fun environment. We look forward to competing for the CODY award next year!” (Steven Balaban, President, Stellar Outdoor)
“We are pleasantly surprised with the team building experience and overall great time the ADLYMPICS brought to our Bell Team. Next Year you can bet that we’ll be bringing home the CODY and the 100,000 DOOH bucks.” (Jay Hamann, Associate Director – Retail Marketing, Bell Residential Services)
Be sure to mark it in your calendar for next year… The ADLYMPICS are only going to get bigger and better!
Until then, keep training!
