About the Role
Location: Hybrid – must be able to meet in London regularly (on average twice a week but may be more during busy periods) and travel to UK events as needed. European travel may also be necessary.
The Communications and Content Executive is an exciting new role which would best suit someone who has an interest in marketing, customer experience, the retail industry, and/or the applications of shopper data. The candidate needs to be based in the UK and willing to travel to central London 2-3 times a week.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, Retail Media Networks, the Communications and Content Executive will have strong influence on the communications and marketing efforts to promote the retail media proposition of the STRATACACHE family of companies. The successful candidate will have a front row seat for the most exciting developments in customer-facing technology and marketing platforms.
This position would best suit someone in the early stages of their communications or marketing career. The candidate would ideally have 1-5 years of previous experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing daily updates to RetailMediaWorld.com as well as coordinating new content formation and additions across STRATACACHE’s suite of websites where appropriate.
• Design, drafting and posting of social media posts across STRATACACHE’s social channels.
• The creation, launch and ongoing management of a weekly retail media newsletter.
• Weekly promotion of the This Week in Retail Media podcast.
• Overseeing the upload of the weekly podcast.
• Drafting and distribution of press releases.
• Tracking media coverage.
• Drafting marketing material such as case studies, presentations, website copy, emails and thought leadership articles.
• Attending and covering retail media events.
• Creation and deployment of event and marketing materials.
• Assisting on the management of events (promo items, staff schedules, materials, attendee emails etc.)
• Planning, coordination and monitoring of communications and marketing activities.
• Working with the Scala and Stratacache teams across Europe and North America on various marketing campaigns and initiatives including live events, advertising placements and content production.
• Tracking marketing spend on key initiatives.
• Identifying potential marketing and communications opportunities.
• Research: online and potentially in person at stores or events.

• The ability to use information from a variety of different inputs and systems (meetings, presentation decks, emails, chat channels and asana) to complete tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a larger team – sometimes in the role of project manager and sometimes in the role of ‘doer.’
• Ability to work with people across an international organisation.
• Ability to engage and clearly communicate with a variety of different stakeholders.
• An enthusiastic approach to work and projects.
• Confidence to ask for clarification or assistance when required.
• Honest and reliable individual.
• Professional attitude and approach to projects – able to consider the end goal and suggest improvements as required.
• Curiosity about why things work the way they do – especially regarding technology and retail.
• An understanding of customer experience and the customer journey would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of WordPress would be preferable
• Knowledge of Canva and other design services would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience of project management software such as Asana.
• Ability to use meeting and note taking software in a professional manner.
• Someone who is a self starter.
