Westfield Shopping Centre collected the Gold Apex Award in the Public Spaces category at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) last week.
With customers visiting from across the UK and the globe, Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, London wanted to enhance their customer experience with a world-class digital signage network.
Westfield engaged Esprit Digital who used experienced Scala reseller and systems integrator FTP Concepts to help them deliver 350 digital screens throughout the shopping centre, including the giant 102-screen, double sided video wall: the largest LCD video wall in Europe and possibly the world.
Westfield now uses its phenomenal digital network to convey marketing messages, digital advertising and dynamic content to their 800,000 shoppers per week. This powerful and versatile capability includes displaying marketing information, real-time customer information – such as live travel updates – as well as standard and dynamic advertising campaigns. A great example of this was an experiential Facebook campaign created by Y&R for LloydsTSB.
As part of the project, FTP Concepts also created a Twitter moderation and management tool, enabling Westfield to implement several innovative experiential marketing campaigns during the 2012 Olympics.
The Apex Award was presented to FTP Concepts’ client and partner, Esprit Digital at the DSE in Las Vegas on 26-28 February 2013.
